The Child Aid Association promotes voluntary work by school and college students during their vacations enabling them to gain experience in community service. Till date students from Mama Parsi Girls School, Habib Girls School , Karachi Grammar School (college section) and AMI School have participated. Students are encouraged to interact with patients and their parents thereby helping them to understand the problems they are going through. They also gain knowledge of how the medical services are run. They are given training in how to take vitals; temperature,blood pressure and perform cardio-respiratory resuscitation in emergency. This experience may not only be useful at homes but a valuable addition on their curriculum vitae when seeking higher education. The volunteer program was suspended during covid, since then it was resumed last year in December, 2022.
