The Child Aid Association is managed by a 15 member executive committee elected by the members
in the annual general body meeting held after the period of two years.
Mr. Tariq Shafi joined Child Aid Association in 1992. He is a businessman and CEO of a company doing business since 1968. He is also member of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and founder member of Indus Hospital. He is also founder member of Children Cancer Hospital and patron of Patients Welfare Organization. He is a board member of IDARA E ALKHAIR School System and chairman of Poverty Alleviation committee Of FPCCI
Mr. Tariq Siddiqui completed his Bachelor and Masters in Science from University of Karachi, Pakistan. After graduation, he worked in the private sector and currently is a Director and CEO of a Private Limited Company. However, observing the disparity around him, he always felt the need to contribute more. Witnessing the struggles of the less fortunate within the healthcare system, he began to seek avenues to help. His initial efforts culminated in him working for raising funds for the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation and set the course for his life trajectory. After a chance encounter led him to the Children’s Cancer Hospital, he decided to dedicate his time there, and currently remains the Chairman of the Foundation. He played an integral part in unifying the Children’s Cancer Hospital with the Indus Health Network of which he was a Board member and Director. He also dedicates time to the Orange Tree Foundation, an institution that aims to bridge education inequality and create opportunities for students from financially challenged household. He also remains the Executive Member of the Child Aid Association, an institution committed to providing free of cost treatment to children undergoing cancer treatment.
Dr. Nasir Saleem Saddal joined NICH Karachi as Medical Officer in 1996. Trained as paediatric surgeon and passed FCPS in 2002. He was promoted as assistant professor in department of paediatric surgery and trained in Singapore as paediatric Orthopaedic surgeon in 2007-2008. He became life member of CAA in 2007 and is currently serving Child Aid Association as Executive Member. He as recently Been posted as Director NICH.
A Graphic Designer by profession , she has been associated with the Child Aid Association since its inception as a volunteer. The Associations’ logo was designed by her and she also helps with the design and layout of the Annual Reports each year. She has been a life member since 2015 and joined as executive member in 2017. Currently serving as Joint Secretary.
Mr. H. M. Aamir Froze possess around 30 years of diversified experience with exposure of running different businesses. Director of Modest (the renowned clothing brand) Performing as the CEO of Zarsh Teaching in the Famous Jamia Binoria Town of the One of the Board Member of the Indus Hospital. Previously: Performed 24 Years as Director at Swiss Pharmaceuticals and Sami pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Sofia Ahmed is a paediatric surgeon. She graduated in 1979 from Dow Medical College Karachi and joined NICH in 1985. She did her Masters in paediatric surgery from Karachi University in 1991. She retired from NICH in July 2014. She has been affiliated with Child Aid Association since 1985. She remained its treasurer from 1997-2007 and later served as joint secretary from 2007-12. She also served as general secretary in 2009 for a short period. At present she is Treasurer Child Aid Association
Mr. Khaleeq ur Rahman is in textile industry for more than five decades. Founder member of the Company Feroze Textile Industries a Family partnership company in the year 1970 and retired as Chairman Feroze1888 Mills Limited in 2014, presently serving as a non-executive director. The company is ranked as the largest in the Country, and among top 200 Companies recognized 200 best under a billion Companies Forbes Asia. Member Indus Hospital and Served as a Director for 6 years until 2020, presently serving on different board committees. Chairman The Ilm Foundation. Member Jamiyat Taleemul Quran Trust serving on different Board Committees. He is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
Born, bred and raised in Karachi, have a Masters degree in Business Administration with Finance as Majar from Ohio State University USA. Principal business activity is ‘Aviation’,with interest in Commodities and Pharmaceuticals.
Dr Arit Parkash is the Head of Department Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology ward National Institute of Child Health, Karachi.
He is an MBBS, FCPS (PAEDS), FCPS (PED GASTRO & HEPATO), MSPH
(RESEACH).
Currently he is Professor Pediatric Consultant, Pediatric Gastroenterologist,
Hepatologist and Nutrition Specialist MSPH (advance Research).
He also remains the Executive Member of the Child Aid Association, an institution
committed to providing free of cost treatment to children undergoing cancer treatment.
Dr. Rajkumar Ochani is an anaesthetist. He graduated in 1979 from Liaquat Medical College Jamshoro and joined JPMC in 1983 and then transferred and joined NICH in 1992.He has been affiliated with Child Aid Association since 1993. He is presently serving as member executive committee.
The CEO of Grey Construction Group is a Civil Engineer from NED University Karachi Pakistan, also having certifications from renowned institutions of the world such as Real Estate College of Ontario, Canada, and Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology Canada, having a corporate experience of more than 25 years in multiples roles, both nationally and internationally. Also remotely looks after his business interests in Toronto Canada as CEO of Auriga Homes Ltd. Trustee/Director, Indus Development Foundation. Member General Body of Indus Hospital Network, Pakistan. Former trustee of Children Cancer Foundation of Pakistan. Currently he is serving Child Aid Association as the Executive Committee Member since April 2022.
