On September 20, 2025, Child Aid Association hosted its first-ever U.S. awareness and fundraising dinner in Houston, marking a defining moment for CAA’s international outreach. The event successfully brought together supporters from across the U.S. to champion the cause of children battling cancer in Pakistan. Leaders from the Baylor College of Medicine, healthcare professionals, corporate executives, and community members attended the evening, which opened with reflections from the Qur’an on charity and the blessings of children. The program featured a powerful presentation on CAA’s history—founded in 1979 by Prof. Dr. Nizam ul Hasan at NICH, and strengthened by the legacy of Dr. Syed Mohsin Ali. September being Global Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the timing was significant. The Houston community generously surpassed the fundraising target of $50,000, contributing towards life-saving medications and treatments for underprivileged children. The event also marked the launch of the Houston Steering Committee, and the announcement of a new Washington, D.C. Steering Committee, which will host its own gala next year. The evening stood as a testament to the compassion and commitment of the Pakistani diaspora and the broader Muslim community.
