International Childhood Cancer Day with the theme “Unveiling Challenges” is being observed all over the world today on February 15, 2024.
The Children’s Cancer Center at Child Aid Association,NICH,Karachi observed the day with the off treatment children and few on follow up.The parents ,staff of Oncolgy unit and the Executive committee members of Child Aid Association were present on the occassion.The parents narrated the social challenges they faced during the treatment,other than the trauma of dealing with their child’s disease.Dr Uzma Imam HOD ,Oncology Unit gave a small presentation on Unveiling the challenges. The event ended with a cake cutting ceremony by the children .
CSR team of Habib Metropolitan Bank visited Child Aid Association and distributed gifts among the children suffering from cancer.
